Los Angeles, Southwest College
This is shooting toward the southwest. This is a Mondo track that was built
in 1982 for the L.A. Olympics as a training site. The seriousness of the program
at this school has been on again/off again and obviously over a couple of decades,
the track has aged. It is also victimized by excessive watering that leaves
puddles on the track nightly-slowly moving this track up toward the Bottom 10--now
one of the poorer tracks in the Los Angeles area. Fear of security concerns
cause this track to be closed at night and it is patroled regularly.
